Tottenham v Anderlecht preview

Tottenham will be aiming for revenge when Anderlecht make the trip to White Hart Lane for this Europa League Group J clash.

Mauricio Pochettino's side travelled to Belgium two weeks ago sitting at the top of Group J but a 2-1 defeat to Anderlecht has dropped them down to third and leave them facing a battle to qualify.

Spurs were in action on Monday, beating Aston Villa 3-1 and with the north London derby - which is live on Sky Sports - coming up on Sunday, Pochettino is ready to shuffle his pack against a side that, excluding qualifiers, have not won an away European tie since December 2011.

During that time Anderlecht, who travel to England looking for their first win on these shores in 16 attempts, have suffered six defeats and picked up six draws in European competition.

The Belgian side last visited White Hart Lane for the second leg of the 1984 UEFA Cup final which finished 1-1 on the night and 2-2 on aggregate.

Pochettino has dropped Andros Townsend from the first team after the winger's clash with a club fitness coach on Monday.

Townsend will not be available for selection for the clash with Anderlecht following a row with fitness coach Nathan Gardiner and it is undecided as to whether he will return for the north London derby.

Meanwhile, Spurs are boosted by the return of forward Son Heung-min. The forward has been sidelined for almost six weeks with a foot problem and his recovery gives Pochettino the option of resting Harry Kane, ahead of the clash wit the Gunners this weekend.

Nabil Bentaleb has also returned to training after two months out with an ankle problem but the midfielder is not yet match fit, while Clinton Njie is a doubt with a hamstring injury.

Full-back Danny Rose is a doubt after picking up an injury in the victory over Aston Villa..

Spurs could come up against midfielder Youri Tielemans, who has been linked with moves to Manchester United and Manchester City.

He could be joined by Steve Defour in midfield for the trip to White Hart Lane as Anderlecht look to repeat their victory over Spurs of a fortnight ago.
