FA Cup: Middlesbrough v Sheffield Wednesday preview

Middlesbrough v Sheffield Wednesday preview
Rudy Gestede could make his debut for Middlesbrough against Sheffield Wednesday in the FA Cup third round following his £6million move from Aston Villa.
Boss Aitor Karanka, however, doesn't believe he will be handing his new striker a start. "Rudy will be a really good player for us," he said. "He gives us something different and I am pleased he is here so early in the window.
"I will have to think but I don't think he will start from the beginning on Sunday."
Karanka has a number of injury problems ahead of Sunday's tie. Antonio Barragan and Viktor Fischer have been ruled out while Gaston Ramirez, Fabio and Grant Leadbitter are all doubtful.
The Middlesbrough boss has highlighted the importance of the FA Cup, but could still make changes to his side after a hectic Christmas schedule in the Premier League.
Sheffield Wednesday midfielder Kieran Lee has been ruled out for the rest of the season after having surgery on a hip injury. Gary Hooper is closing in on a return but is unlikely to be ready in time.
