Sunderland v Tottenham preview

Sunderland boss David Moyes will be without Papy Djilobodji for Tottenham's Premier League visit to the Stadium of Light

Djilobodji begins a four-match ban after having an FA violent conduct charge found proven following a clash with West Brom's Darren Fletcher, but new signing Joleon Lescott could be included while defender Lamine Kone and midfielder Didier Ndong have returned from the African Nations Cup.

Midfielder Lynden Gooch (ankle) played an hour for the reserves at the weekend and keeper Jordan Pickford (knee) is also working his way back to match fitness. Full-back Javier Manquillo and midfielder Steven Pienaar (both calf) remain doubts, while Jan Kirchhoff, Paddy McNair, Victor Anichebe and Duncan Watmore (all knee), as well as Lee Cattermole (hip), are still sidelined.

Harry Kane will return for Tottenham.

Kane missed the win against Wycombe, but is fit and available for manager Mauricio Pochettino. Toby Alderweireld (hamstring) and Danny Rose (knee), both absent for the FA Cup clash, are also set to start.

Kieran Trippier will be unavailable after sustaining a knock against Wycombe while Jan Vertonghen (ankle) and Erik Lamela (hip) are still out.
