EPL: Swansea City v Manchester United preview

Swansea City v Manchester United preview

Swansea will be without Fernando Llorente for the visit of Manchester United, who will seek back-to-back wins at the Liberty Stadium.

The Spanish striker suffered a broken arm last month and is still not yet fit enough to feature, although he has is now back in training and could return to action prior to September's international break.

The Swans have a pretty good record against United, having lost just three of their 14 home league meetings against Saturday's opponents, including 2-1 wins in both the 2015-16 season and in the 2014-15 campaign.

But having finally lost their playmaker Gylfi Sigurdsson to Everton, Paul Clement has a big gap to fill in his squad. New signing Roque Mesa is pushing for his Premier League debut, while Tammy Abraham is expected to start after a decent debut at Southampton last weekend.

Jose Mourinho's men made an impressive start to the new season, with a crushing 4-0 win over West Ham last Sunday, and the United boss is expected to stick with the same side for the trip to south Wales.

United remain without injured trio Luke Shaw, Ashley Young and Marcos Rojo, while new addition Victor Lindelof could again miss out after the clean sheet they collected against the Hammers.

Although many will expect an away win, United are seeking a first Premier League away success in five attempts while Swansea are on a six-game unbeaten run following a strong end to last season.

Swansea potential starting XI: Fabianski; Naughton, Olsson, Fernandez, Mawson; Carroll, Britton, Fer; Routledge, Ayew, Abraham.

Man Utd potential starting XI:  De Gea; Bailly, Jones, Blind, Valencia; Matic, Pogba, Mata, Mkhitaryan; Rashford, Lukaku.
