CC: West Ham 3-0 Bolton Wanderers

Diafra Sakho of West Ham United celebrates
West Ham have advanced through to the fourth round of the Carabao Cup with a comfortable 3-0 victory over Bolton at the London Stadium.
The Hammers made a bright start to the contest with Diafra Sakho almost embarrassing Bolton stopper Mark Howard, who just got enough on the ball as it appeared to squirm through his legs.
However, the home side did not have to wait long to take the lead, as on four minutes Angelo Ogbonna powerfully headed Marko Arnautovic’s free kick into the back of the net from eight yards.
West Ham looked like they were going to run riot after that when Andre Ayew missed a glorious chance to extend their advantage, but he fired Sakho’s cross wide from close range.
The Hammers did manage to get a second on 31 minutes when Sakho converted Arnautovic’s neat cutback in clinical fashion.
The second-half was comfortable for West Ham, as Bolton rarely threatened, while the Hammers themselves did not try to force the issue going forward.
Slaven Bilic’s side did add a third goal in stoppage time, however, and it was a peach of a strike from Artur Masuaku, who fired into the top corner from 20 yards.
So West Ham have progressed through to round four, while Bolton will have to turn their attention back to the rigours of the Championship.
