Manchester City will look to continue their impressive record over Crystal Palace when the two teams meet at the Etihad Stadium.


The Citizens head into the game in fine form and they are currently top of the Premier League table after picking up 13 points from five matches.

Midfielder Ilkay Gundogan is not available after sustaining an injury during the Carabao Cup win over West Brom, but the former Borussia Dortmund man has played down fears his injury is serious.

Club captain Vincent Kompany has not played since the win over Bournemouth in August but the Belgium international is available after overcoming a calf issue.

Palace will look to bolster their defensive line by handing centre-back Mamadou Sakho his first league start since he joined the club on a permanent basis in the summer.

Former Sunderland frontman Connor Wickham is still recovering from injury, while the game comes too soon for winger Wilfried Zaha.

Palace’s record against City makes for glum reading for the club’s fans, with City winning 13 of the last 14 competitive matches.

They have scored 35 goals in that process, with Palace losing on all five of their previous visits to the Etihad Stadium.
With Palace yet to score a goal in the Premier League, they will need to keep Sergio Aguero and Gabriel Jesus quiet following their strong performances against Watford last time out.
