UCL :Apoel Nicosia 0-3 Tottenham Hotspur
Tottenham striker Harry Kane was the man of the moment as he scored a hat-trick to hand Spurs all three points on Tuesday night.
Mauricio Pochettino's men faced the difficult trip to Cyprus for the Champions League encounter but they showed their potential with a solid performance.
Forward Heung-Min Son went close inside the first five minutes before Spurs remained calm as APOEL's Igor de Camargo rattled the bar in the 20th minute.
Centre-back Carlao then headed wide from a corner but Spurs punished the home side with six minutes remaining in the first-half.
Kane stayed onside after being played in and he placed the ball into the bottom corner.
Camargo missed a header just after the hour mark to restore parity and Kane punished him just 60 seconds later. Midfielder Moussa Sissokho found the striker in space and he cooly slotted the ball into the bottom corner.
He grabbed his third six minutes later, with Kieran Trippier the provider this time. The Burnley man crossed the ball in from the right and Kane timed his run to perfection and headed home.
Tuesday's win ensures Spurs remain top of Group H and they will take on Real Madrid next time around.
