EPL: Huddersfield Town v Manchester Utd preview

Huddersfield Town v Manchester Utd preview

Manchester United will look to extend their unbeaten start to the season against Huddersfield at the John Smith's Stadium on Saturday.

United have won six of their opening eight Premier League matches but, despite the good start, find themselves trailing rivals City by two points.

The Red Devils arrive in Yorkshire on the back of a narrow 1-0 win against Benfica in Portugal in which England international Marcus Rashford grabbed the only goal.

United have a fantastic record against the Terriers, winning eight of the last 11 meetings, and the last time defeat was suffered was back in 1952.

Manager Jose Mourinho has confirmed Rashford is fit and available after overcoming a knock whilst revealing the same squad from midweek will be used this weekend.

This means Eric Bailly, Marouane Fellaini, Michael Carrick, Paul Pogba and Marcus Rojo remain out on the sidelines.

Huddersfield started the season in fantastic fashion, taking seven points from their first three games, but results have taken a downward spiral since.

The Terriers have failed to win in the last six matches across all competitions and the club are slipping towards the relegation zone.

David Wagner has been linked with the vacant Leicester City job this week but the German tactician has ruled himself out of the running.

The 46-year-old is instead focused on helping the club turn things and he will have top scorer Steve Mounie available for selection after he has recovered from a heel injury.

However, Philip Billing picked up a serious injury in the 2-0 loss to Swansea last time out and may need surgery while Colin Quaner is also unavailable.
