EPL: Tottenham v Bournemouth preview

Tottenham v Bournemouth preview

Tottenham will hope its fourth time lucky when they look to end their run of Wembley games without a league win against Bournemouth.

Mauricio Pochettino's men have struggled so far at their temporary home, collecting just two points from three matches against Chelsea, Burnley and Swansea.

Spurs are still without midfield duo Moussa Dembele and Victor Wanyama through injury, while Erik Lamela is still missing despite returning to training.

Pochettino though is boosted by the return of Serge Aurier, who has served his one-match suspension following his red card at West Ham.

Meanwhile, Bournemouth head to the capital looking for their first points on the road this season having lost all their away games – at West Brom, Arsenal and Everton – to date.

The head-to-head stats will also be a concern for Cherries fans and backers, with Bournemouth having never beaten Tottenham and failed to score in their two meetings last term.

Eddie Howe has injury issues to contend with, as three of his international players are set to miss out on Saturday's clash. Josh King, Ryan Fraser and Brad Smith all suffered injuries this week and the trio

look unlikely to feature. Howe has admitted that Smith’s hip injury looks ‘nasty’ but is more upbeat over the hamstring problems for King and Fraser.

This fixture ended in a 4-0 win for Spurs last season, with Harry Kane scoring six goals in their last four fixtures against Bournemouth.
