EPL: Tottenham v Crystal Palace preview

Tottenham v Crystal Palace preview
Tottenham will be hoping to round off an impressive week by beating struggling Crystal Palace at Wembley on Sunday.
Spurs secured one of their best ever results in European competition by beating Real Madrid 3-1 on Wednesday, although that victory did come on the back of successive defeats against West Ham in the Carabao Cup and Manchester United in the Premier League.
Mauricio Pochettino will therefore be expecting a return to winning to ways domestically when Spurs play host to bottom of the table Palace, a team they have beaten the last four times they have met in the Premier League.
However, Pochettino has injury concerns heading into the match, as defender Toby Alderweireld and goalkeeper Hugo Lloris sustained respective hamstring and groin issues during the victory over Real.
Victor Wanyama is still not fit enough to return to action, but talisman Harry Kane is expected to feature, after playing 79 minutes of the midweek European success.
Palace will head into the match still rooted to the bottom of the standings, although they produced a spirited fightback as they came from two goals down to draw with West Ham last time out.
The Eagles have struggled on the road of late, losing and failing to score in their last seven away matches in the league, a run that stretches back to last season.
Boss Roy Hodgson should be able to call upon defender Mamadou Sakho on Sunday, after he missed the draw with West Ham due to a calf strain, while James McArthur and Patrick van Aanholt are also in contention following respective ankle and hamstring problems.
