EPL: Brighton v Liverpool preview

Brighton v Liverpool preview
Brighton and Liverpool will meet in a league match for the first time since 1983 when the two clash at the Amex Stadium on Saturday.
That meeting 34 years ago finished in a draw and four of Brighton's last seven games have also finished level, including Tuesday's 0-0 clash with Crystal Palace, while Liverpool have drawn five of their 14 fixtures to date.
The Seagulls find themselves sat in mid-table and much of that is due to their good home form - they have lost just once (against Manchester City) at the Amex and have collected 10 points on home soil.
Chris Hughton, who has lost all three Premier League games as a manager against Liverpool, looks set to recall Gaetan Bong, after the full-back missed the draw with Palace because of a knee injury.
There are no fresh injury concerns for the Brighton boss, with Steve Sidwell the only definite absentee as he continues his rehabilitation from back surgery.
As for the visitors, they are looking to extend their unbeaten league run to six matches and the Reds could move into the top four, if they win and other results go their way.
Jurgen Klopp has revealed that Joel Matip will miss out having suffer a muscle problem in the win at Stoke, with Ragnar Klavan expected to replace him in the heart of the Liverpool defence.
Adam Lallana is pushing for a start while Philippe Coutinho and the Premier League's leading scorer, Mohamed Salah, are likely to return having started on the bench at the bet365 Stadium.
