FAC: Fleetwood v Leicester preview

Fleetwood v Leicester preview

Jamie Vardy is a major doubt for Leicester's FA Cup third-round trip to his former club Fleetwood on Saturday.

Vardy scored 31 goals in 36 league games en route to helping Fleetwood secure promotion to the Football League in the 2011/12 season

The England international moved from Fleetwood to Leicester for £1million in 2012 and went on to win the Premier League title four years later, but might not be risked as he is suffering with a groin problem.

Leicester have never won the FA Cup but everything looks in place for a real push this season with their comfortable position in the Premier League.

Fleetwood, who are looking to reach the fourth round for the first time, have lost six of their last 10 league matches.

Wes Morgan and Danny Simpson (both hamstring) are out, along with Robert Huth (ankle), but Adrien Silva is expected to start after making his delayed debut off the bench in the 3-0 New Year's Day win over Huddersfield.
