How to Broadcast Part 1 ?
First you will need a Video Capture (Adapter/Device), something like the image on the right .
You can also use this device for converting ( VHS to digital) the possibilities are endless
It will have a USB connector on one end, which will connect to your computer, and a least three cables on the other, Yellow terminal means video, the red & the white one are for audio.
You will also have to install software so you can use your hardware
You might need an RGB cable if your computer and broadcasting source are not near to each other
There are many other devices that can do this job, this is just an example.
You might have problems capturing the audio, that's because broadcasted audio is usually with the AC3 codec, it might not be compatible with your software.
Another option is to buy this audio jack cable (image left), you will need a portable TV with an earphone socket.
Plug one end into your TV and the other end into the microphone socket at the back of your computer, your computer soundcard will now provide the audio.
You have now got all the hardware you will need.
