EPL: Southampton v Watford preview

Southampton v Watford preview
Southampton and Watford will put their unbeaten starts on the line when they go head-to-head at St Mary's Stadium on Saturday.
Both sides have collected five points from their opening three league matches, although they were also both dumped out of the Carabao Cup by lower league opposition.
Goals have been Southampton's main problem in recent times, as they have failed to score in eight of their last 11 Premier League games, with their last match before the international break ending in a 0-0 draw against Huddersfield.
Mauricio Pellegrino's side do have an impressive recent record against Watford, as they are unbeaten in the last seven matches between the two sides, including a 4-3 victory at Vicarage Road in March.
The Saints have no new injury concerns heading into the match and Virgil van Dijk could feature for the first time this season after failing to secure a move away from the club before the close of the transfer window.
Watford won their opening away match of the season 2-0 at Bournemouth and they will be looking secure another win on the South Coast on Saturday.
The Hornets have never begun a top-flight campaign without losing any of their opening four fixtures, but they can achieve that feat by gaining a positive result at St Mary’s.
Boss Marco Silva should be boosted by the return of defenders Younes Kaboul and Daryl Janmaat following injury, while Jose Holebas is also available after suspension.
Roberto Pereyra and Sebastian Prodl will face late fitness tests, while Miguel Britos will definitely miss out following his red card against Brighton last time out.
