EPL: Manchester City v Liverpool preview

Manchester City v Liverpool preview
Manchester City will hand a late fitness test to captain Vincent Kompany ahead of Saturday's early kick-off against Liverpool.
The Belgium international suffered a calf injury whilst away on international duty, but City are confident the centre back will be fit to feature as they seek to extend their unbeaten start to the season.
The home side have struggled against the Reds in recent times, with just one win in their last seven Premier League meetings, although Pep Guardiola's men haven't lost a home league game in 2017.
City will be without former Liverpool winger Raheem Sterling, who is suspended following his sending off at Bournemouth, but Kyle Walker will return to the squad following a one-game ban.
The visitors, who are currently two places above City (on goal difference) but also on seven points, go into the match having lost just once in their last 22 league games and could hand a debut to deadline day signing Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain.
Despite recovering from a back injury in time to feature in Brazil's World Cup qualifiers, against Ecuador and Colombia, Jurgen Klopp has decided to leave Philippe Coutinho out of his squad.
Last season's clash at the Etihad Stadium finished in a 1-1 draw with City's last win over Liverpool coming back in 2014, when Stevan Jovetic scored twice.
