EPL: Tottenham v Swansea City preview

Tottenham v Swansea City preview

Tottenham have never been beaten by Swansea in the Premier League era, with the two teams set to meet at Wembley on Saturday evening.

Spurs go into the clash off the back of an impressive Champions League win over Borussia Dortmund in midweek, but they are still looking for their first Premier League win at their temporary home.

Dele Alli is expected to come straight back into the team after having to sit out the Dortmund game due to a European suspension, with Heung-Min Son the most likely to drop to the bench. Mauricio

Pochettino is still without Danny Rose, Victor Wanyama and Erik Lamela, although it's thought Rose could return to training in the next couple of weeks.

Tottenham did the double over the Swans last season, winning this fixture 5-0 at White Hart Lane last term with both Harry Kane and Christian Eriksen scoring twice, and haven't lost to their opponents since 1982.

Swansea will go into the game as massive underdogs, although are yet to lose away this season, picking up four points from two league away days and beating MK Dons 1-4 in the League Cup.

After a disappointing defeat to Newcastle last time out, Paul Clement is understood to be considering changes, with Roque Mesa and Leon Britton pushing for first-team recalls.

Despite scoring just two goals in their last four league games, the Swansea boss has indicated that Wilfried Bony is unlikely to start. The visitors are also still without injured pair Ki Sung-yueng and Nathan Dyer.
