EPL: Newcastle United 0-1 Bournemouth

Steve Cook's stoppage-time header secured a dramatic win for Bournemouth at Newcastle
Steve Cook headed home a stoppage-time winner as Bournemouth clinched a vital 1-0 victory at Newcastle United.
The three points lifted the Cherries out of the relegation zone and they deserved the win after playing well in the second half.
However, Newcastle dominated the first period and former Cherries player Matt Ritchie’s long-range drive in the fifth minute was kept out by Asmir Begovic.
When the visitors responded, Charlie Daniels’ shot was charged down by Ritchie.
Begovic did well to save Christian Atsu’s shot before, in the 15th minute, Rafa Benitez’s side thought they had taken the lead.
However, after Ritchie’s shot had come back off a post, Dwight Gayle was standing in an offside position when he turned the rebound home.
Eddie Howe’s side struggled in the first half although Rob Elliot was forced to save Callum Wilson's looping header, and they were fortunate to still be on level terms at the interval as Gayle had another goalbound effort blocked by Nathan Ake.
The visitors improved after half-time and Wilson wasted a great chance to open the scoring, failing to hit the target after being sent clear by Josh King.
As the home fans grew increasingly frustrated, Marc Pugh fired wide for Bournemouth while the Magpies failed to test Begovic in the visitors' goal.
With two minutes left Pugh’s shot beat Elliot but came back into play off the woodwork before, deep into stoppage time, Cook got in front of his man and headed home.
