Tottenham v West Brom preview

Tottenham will be looking to return to winning ways in the Premier League when they play host to managerless West Brom on Saturday.

Spurs appear to have got to grips with life at Wembley Stadium, as they have won their last three league matches at the venue, although their form on the road has been less impressive, following back-to-back top-flight defeats at Manchester United and North London rivals Arsenal.

Mauricio Pochettino's side did win away from home in the Champions League during the week, securing a 2-1 success at Borussia Dortmund, a result that guaranteed them top spot in their group.

Tottenham also have an impressive recent record against West Brom, as they have only lost one of the last 15 meetings between the two sides, winning 4-0 when the two teams last met in January.

The North Londoners have no fresh injury concerns heading into the match, although Toby Alderweireld, Victor Wanyama and Erik Lamela remain unavailable due to respective hamstring, knee and hip issues.

West Brom will head into the contest without a permanent manager following the sacking of Tony Pulis earlier this week.

Gary Megson will take temporary charge of the Baggies this weekend and he will be hoping to arrest an alarming dip in form that has seen them win just two of their last 21 league games.

Albion will have to do without former Spurs winger Nacer Chadli for the trip to Wembley, as he has torn a thigh muscle in training, while James Morrison and Craig Dawson also remain unavailable due to respective Achilles and knee issues, with both players expected to be missing for at least another month.
