EPL: West Bromwich Albion 0-4 Chelsea

Eden Hazard
Eden Hazard scored twice with Alvaro Morata and Marcus Alonso also on target as Chelsea thrashed West Brom 4-0 at The Hawthorns.
It was a serenely comfortable 90 minutes for Antonio Conte’s side, who moved up to second in the table with a third successive league win.
For West Brom the result – and particularly the manner of it - piles the pressure on head coach Tony Pulis, whose side have now gone 10 Premier League games without victory.
West Brom began brightly and had the ball in the net early on, but Salomon Rondon was flagged offside as he headed beyond Thibaut Courtois.
That proved to be the high point of the half for the Baggies as Chelsea began to take control.
Tiemoue Bakayoko had a decent opportunity to open the scoring after turning Gareth McAuley but he dragged his shot wide. Chelsea would soon go in front however.
Hazard jinked past Gareth Barry before firing in a shot that was only parried by Ben Foster into the path of Morata, who tapped home for his ninth goal of the season.
Minutes later Chelsea doubled their advantage. Morata turned provider this time as his flicked Cesc Fabregas’ pass through to Hazard, who fired low beyond Foster.
Chelsea called for a penalty when the ball touched the arm of Jonny Evans in the box, but referee Jonathan Moss rightly waved away their claims.
It was only delaying the inevitable though as the champions made it 3-0 before half-time.
Fabregas’ free kick from the left found Alonso at the far post and the Spaniard calmly volleyed the ball into the roof of the net.
It was a woeful 45 minutes for West Brom, who were booed from the field in front of watching owner Guochuan Lai.
Chelsea showed no sign of easing up after the break and made it 4-0 just after the hour mark.
Fabregas lobbed a ball over the top to Hazard who cut inside, delayed his shot, and calmly stroked the ball home.
Matt Phillips was a rare bright spot for West Brom on an otherwise grim afternoon. The forward was full of running and could have pulled a goal back late on only to drag his shot wide.
At the other end Cesar Azpilicueta robbed substitute James McClean and found himself in on goal, but skewed his shot wide of the far post.
The rapidly emptying stands told the story though as a thoroughly miserable afternoon for West Brom sees them slump to 17th and just one point outside the relegation zone.
