EPL: Swansea City 0-0 Bournemouth

Bournemouth and Swansea players argue at the Liberty Stadium
Chances were at a premium at the Liberty Stadium as Swansea and Bournemouth played out a disappointing 0-0 draw.
The first half certainly did not live long in the memory in terms of opportunities, although Bournemouth enjoyed the majority of the possession and did come close when Joshua King’s close-range effort forced Lukasz Fabianski into a save.
Swansea offered nothing going forward for the opening 40 minutes, but they did end the first half strongly and Wilfried Bony had the ball in the back of the net in stoppage time, but his classy finish was controversially ruled out due to an off the ball infringement.
The second half continued in a similar fashion, although there was an element of controversy when Swansea’s Ki Sung-yueng appeared to push referee Stuart Attwell, although he only received a yellow card for the incident.
In truth Swansea were the better side during the second period and Leroy Fer had a great opportunity to win the match late on, but, after a great run, he saw his initial effort saved by Asmir Begovic, before sending the rebound over the crossbar.
Substitute Tammy Abraham then thought he had won a penalty for the Swans after he appeared to be clipped by Adam Smith in the box, but Attwell decided against pointing to the spot.
There was then almost a sting in the tail for Swansea late on, as Bournemouth came close to scoring a stoppage time winner, but Charlie Daniels saw his cross-shot fly wide of the target.
The point leaves Swansea deep in the relegation mire, while Bournemouth are now unbeaten in their last three away matches in the Premier League.
